Abby Gaines is a successful historical romance and romance fiction novelist, hailing from New Zealand. She is well-known for her tender and humorous stories, which have been published by Love Inspired Historical and Harlequin Superromance. Gaines' debut novel, "Whose Lie Is It Anyway," was published in 2007, and she has since released over two dozen novels, including several series and standalone novels.
Before becoming a published author, Gaines spent five years and six manuscripts trying to break into the publishing industry. Her determination paid off when she made her first sale to Harlequin Superromance in 2006, with "Who's Lie Is It Anyway?" being released in January 2007. Since then, she has published 18 novels and novellas in Harlequin's Superromance and NASCAR series. In addition to her success in contemporary romance, Gaines has also ventured into historical romance with her Love Inspired Historical novel, "The Earl's Mistaken Bride," which was released in December 2011.
Gaines is a prolific writer who enjoys setting aside some of her writing time for experimental projects. She has tried her hand at a humorous women's fiction novel and has also completed a Young Adult manuscript. With her warm and engaging writing style, Gaines creates stories that leave readers smiling. She currently lives in New Zealand with her husband, three children, a dog, and a cat, writing her "Stories that leave you smiling" in a sunny office with a peep of the sea.
