Abigail Dean

Abigail Dean is a British author from Manchester, best known for her psychological thrillers and gripping narratives. Her debut novel, "Girl A," became a New York Times and Sunday Times top ten bestseller, as well as a Kindle number one bestseller. The book was widely acclaimed, earning spots on multiple Best Books of 2021 lists, including those by The Times, Financial Times, and The Guardian. Its success led to rights being sold in 36 territories, with a television adaptation currently in development by Sony. Her latest novel, "The Death of Us," explores themes of love and violence, with film rights already secured at auction.

Dean grew up in the Peak District and graduated from Cambridge with a Double First in English. Before her writing career took off, she worked as a Waterstones bookseller and later as a lawyer for Google.
