Adam Blade is the pseudonym of a group of ghostwriters who have gained significant recognition for the "Sea Quest" and "Beast Quest" series of children's fiction novels. Working under the management of Working Partners Limited, Blade has published over 250 works of fiction to date.
Adam Blade is actually a house name used by the ghostwriters at Working Partners Ltd. The individual behind this pseudonym is in his late twenties and hails from Kent, England. His parents were both history teachers and amateur artists, which resulted in Blade growing up surrounded by his father's paintings of historical English battles. This upbringing left a lasting impact on Blade's imagination. He was particularly fascinated by an ancient sword and shield that hung in his father's office, which he was told were Blade family heirlooms.
As a child, Blade spent countless days imagining who could have been the original owner of the sword and shield. Eventually, he created a character - a brave boy warrior named Tom. This character formed the basis for the creation of the Beast Quest series. When Blade grew up and decided to become a writer, he found himself lacking ideas until he remembered the old sword and shield and the imaginary boy he had created as a young boy. He then decided to bring Tom to life fully so that readers could embark on the kind of adventures that he had always dreamed of as a child.
Blade's hobbies include visiting museums and ancient battle sites. He is also an avid fencer and football player. At home, he is kept busy by his two exotic pets, a tarantula named Ziggy and a capuchin monkey named Omar, which served as the inspiration for two of the beasts that Tom faces on his quest. Sadly, Blade does not have his own Fire-Dragon or Horse-Man, but he wishes he did! Blade's newest series, Team Hero, launched in Summer 2017.
