Adi Alsaid is a renowned author of young adult fiction novels, born and raised in the vibrant city of Mexico City. From a young age, Alsaid had a passion for reading and writing, often found with his nose buried in a novel. This love for storytelling led him to pursue a career in writing, even though he studied marketing at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. While in class, he would often be found engrossed in novels or attempting to complete crossword puzzles, rather than focusing on his studies.
After graduating, Alsaid moved to California to fully dedicate himself to writing. His desire to create compelling stories was so strong that he even put his marketing degree on hold. Alsaid's writing journey took him to various parts of the world, including Tel Aviv, Las Vegas, and Monterey, California, before eventually returning to his hometown of Mexico City.
Alsaid's work has gained significant recognition in the young adult literature community. His novel "Let's Get Lost" was a 2015 YALSA Top Ten Selection, while "North of Happy" was recognized as a Kirkus Best Book. His other notable works include "Never Always Sometimes," "Brief Chronicle of Another Stupid Heartbreak," and "We Didn't Ask For This." In addition to his writing, Alsaid also enjoys coaching basketball, adding another layer to his diverse skill set. Despite his travels, Alsaid remains rooted in his Mexican heritage, often incorporating elements of his culture into his writing.
