Adrianne Byrd is a national best-selling author, known for her vivid imagination and captivating storytelling. She has always been drawn to the romantic and dramatic, creating her own worlds where she can explore the complexities of love and relationships. Growing up as an army brat, Byrd had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe, which allowed her to appreciate and value different cultures. Now, she calls Georgia home.\n \nByrd's passion for writing began at the age of thirteen, when she was introduced to romance novels by her fifteen-year-old brother. This introduction sparked a lifelong love of writing, and she quickly began creating her own love stories. Although writing remained a hobby for many years, Byrd's talent was eventually discovered in 1994 when a co-worker introduced her to Romance Writers of America. This organization of like-minded women inspired Byrd to take her writing more seriously, and by 1996, she had sold her first novel, Defenseless, to Kensington Publishing.
Since then, Byrd has written and published over forty multicultural romance novels, receiving rave reviews from both fans and critics. Her novels have consistently been selected as the Magazine's Top Pick, and she has won numerous awards for her writing. In 2001, her novel Say You Love Me was nominated for best romance, and in 2003, her novel Comfort of a Man won Romantic Times Best Multicultural Romance. In addition to her success in the romance genre, Byrd has also ventured into romantic suspense, releasing her first novel, If You Dare, with HarperCollins in 2004. She has been featured in many national publications, including Today's Black Woman, Upscale, and Heart and Soul, and has won local awards for screenwriting.
