Alan Baxter is a British-Australian author known for his works in the genres of supernatural thriller, urban horror, fantasy, and crime. He has written numerous award-winning novels, including the Balance series and the Alex Caine series. Baxter has a deep interest in the supernatural and dark fantasy, which is reflected in his writing.
In addition to his writing, Baxter is also a martial arts expert and teaches Kung Fu. He is fond of dogs and shares his home with his wife, son, a dog, and a bearded dragon named Fifi, on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia. Baxter is a prolific writer with over 70 short stories published in various anthologies and journals in Australia, France, the US, and the UK. His first short fiction collection, 'Crow Shine', was published in 2016.
