Alan L. Lee

Alan L. Lee is an American journalist and author, best known for his thriller books, with his 2013 novel "Sandstorm" being his most recognized work. Born with a passion for sports, Lee had aspirations of becoming a Major League Baseball player or a point guard in the NBA. However, life had other plans for him, and he found himself embarking on a successful career in journalism that spanned over three decades. During this time, he worked as a TV and print journalist, covering news and sports across the globe.

Lee's journalism career took him to various parts of the world, including the cosmopolitan streets of Washington DC and the exotic tropics of the Virgin Islands. Along the way, he had the opportunity to interview prominent figures in the government, including former US President Jimmy Carter, senators, and cabinet members. These experiences provided him with valuable insights into the workings of the intelligence community, which he would later use to fuel his writing of thriller books.

In addition to his work as a journalist, Lee is also a member of the International Thriller Writers. His debut novel "Sandstorm" received high praise from notable authors such as Elmore Leonard and Vince Flynn. Despite his success as an author, Lee remains humble and committed to his craft. He is a graduate of Purdue University and is an avid jazz fan who grew up in Chicago. Currently, he resides in Southern California with his family, including his wife, two sons, and their dogs Daisy and Bosco.
