Alan Russell

Alan Russell is a successful American author, best known for his crime fiction and mystery novels. Born on June 4, 1956, in Sunnyvale, California, Russell grew up in a family with a strong political background. His parents, who met in a romantic way while serving in the Navy, were both mayors of their town, and his grandfather and great-grandfather also held the same position. Russell spent his childhood in Sunnyvale, California, and Short Hills, New Jersey, before moving to La Jolla, California, in 1972.

After graduation, Russell worked in the hospitality industry while pursuing his passion for writing. He wrote and sold articles for newspapers and magazines, using his experience in hospitality as a backdrop for his novels. In addition to his novels, Russell has also ghostwritten some non-fiction books. His works have received critical acclaim, with Publishers Weekly calling him "one of the best writers in the mystery field today."
