Alex R. Carver

Alex R. Carver is a mystery, thriller, and crime author hailing from the United Kingdom. His fascination with the darker side of life has made crime fiction his preferred genre. Carver was born in Bristol, but he never felt at home until he returned to the house where his mother grew up. He has lived in many places, but the allure of travel still calls to him, particularly the desire to visit Macchu Picchu in Peru and some remote part of Egypt.

Before becoming a full-time author, Carver tried his hand at various jobs in the retail, warehouse, and clerical industries. However, he never felt fulfilled and decided to pursue his dream of writing. With an inheritance from his parents and a strong determination to succeed, Carver began his career as an author. Although it has been an exciting experience, he admits that it can also be quite scary, as he needs to establish himself before his savings run out.

Carver has been a caregiver for various family members, which has provided him with unique insights and experiences that reflect in his writing. His bibliography includes the Inspector Stone Mysteries series, the thriller duology The Oakhurst Murders, and the first book in the Cas Dragunov sci-fi/space opera series. When he's not writing, Carver enjoys playing video games and spending time with his dog, Molly the Yorkie, who often competes for his attention.
