Alex Reeve

Alex Reeve is a talented author who was born in Twickenham and currently resides in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. He is a dedicated university lecturer, working on a PhD, and is also a loving husband and father to two sons. Reeve has had a diverse range of experiences throughout his life, including working in a pub and teaching English as a foreign language in Paris. These experiences have no doubt contributed to the rich and varied characters that can be found in his writing.

Reeve is perhaps best known for his debut novel, "The House on Half Moon Street," which is the first in a Victorian crime series featuring the character Leo Stanhope. Stanhope is a transgender man living in Victorian England, a concept that Reeve was inspired to explore after coming across an article about transgender people in the same time period. He was struck by how little had changed in terms of the challenges and discrimination faced by transgender individuals, and wanted to bring attention to this issue through his writing.

In addition to his work as a novelist, Reeve is also a skilled magician. He uses his experiences traveling the world and entertaining audiences to infuse his thrillers and short stories with a sense of excitement and authenticity. This unique combination of talents allows Reeve to create engaging and believable characters that readers can't help but be drawn to.
