Alexandra Ivy

Alexandra Ivy is a renowned author, who also writes under the pseudonym Deborah Raleigh. She has written thirty-three novellas and books for Kensington Publishing, and her work includes traditional regencies, regency historicals, and paranormals. Ivy is from the Midwest, near Mark Twain's boyhood stomping ground, and she prefers a casual lifestyle. She has been an avid reader since her childhood and dreamed of putting her own dreams on paper. Ivy is married and has two teenage boys who keep her life interesting. She loves to travel and spend time with her family, who are her greatest source of motivation.

Ivy's first regency, "Lord Carton's Courtship," was nominated for the best first regency by the Romantic Times and was also an award of excellence finalist. She grew up in a small town in Missouri with her supportive parents, who encouraged her to follow her dreams, whether it was becoming a well-known actress on Broadway or an author. Ivy pursued a degree in theatre and performed in summer-stock productions before marrying her college sweetheart and starting a family. After the arrival of her two sons, she sought a new creative outlet and turned her occasional scribbling into a serious effort to get published.

Ivy's writing career took a paranormal turn after watching her first episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She is best known for her Guardians of Eternity series, which is due to release its twelfth book in 2015. Ivy enjoys writing in various genres, including paranormal, erotica, and romantic suspense. She is a prolific writer who loves to bring her characters to life on paper. Ivy's love for reading and writing started at a young age, and she has been following her dreams ever since.
