Alexis Henderson

Alexis Henderson is a speculative fiction author with a particular interest in cosmic horror, witchcraft, and dark fantasy. She was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, one of the most haunted cities in the South. This upbringing instilled in her a lifelong obsession with ghost stories and gothic themes, which would later influence her career as an author. Growing up, Henderson was exposed to Southern Gothic folktales and ghost stories, which would inspire many of the themes in her later works. Her debut novel, "The Year of the Witching," was heavily influenced by these gothic and eerie themes.

Henderson has always been fascinated by the forest, having lived in a house that stood on the edge of the woods. Despite being forbidden to go into the forest, she spent many hours staring into the brush beyond the tree line, wondering what monsters might be hiding there. This fascination with the unknown and the eerie is evident in her writing. After the success of her debut novel, Henderson released the novel "The Dawn of the Coven," which is the second of the "Bethel" series of novels.

In addition to her writing, Henderson is an avid reader and enjoys painting and watching horror movies in her spare time. She is currently based in Charleston, South Carolina, where she continues to draw inspiration from the sun-soaked marshland. Henderson's love for all things dark and eerie is evident in her writing, and her work continues to captivate readers with its unique blend of cosmic horror, witchcraft, and dark fantasy.
