Ali Land is a successful author, known for her crime, thriller, and fiction novels. After completing her university studies with a degree in Mental Health, she embarked on a career as a Child & Adolescent Mental Health Nurse, working in both schools and hospitals in the United Kingdom and Australia for ten years. Following her nursing career, Land decided to focus on her passion for writing and now lives in West London, working as a full-time author.
Land's debut novel, Good Me, Bad Me, was published in 2017 and quickly became an international bestseller, earning her a devoted following of readers. The novel, which explores the complexities of a young girl's relationship with her serial killer mother, has been translated into twenty-two languages and received critical acclaim. It was short-listed for several awards, including the Dead Good Reader Awards, the Crime Writers Association's John Creasey New Blood Dagger, and the Glass Bell Award for Contemporary Fiction. Additionally, Good Me, Bad Me was named Book Of The Year at Heat magazine Unmissables Awards, and it was also selected as a New York Times Editor's choice and a Richard and Judy book club pick.
Despite her success as a writer, Land did not start writing until later in life. Although she had always been an avid reader and observer of the world, it took her over thirty years to put pen to paper. Land's background in mental health has provided her with a unique perspective and insight into the human psyche, which she skillfully weaves into her writing. Currently, she is working on her second novel, continuing to captivate readers with her gripping storytelling and compelling characters.
