Allen Zadoff

Allen Zadoff is a renowned American author, best known for his work in the young adult fiction genre. He was born in Massachusetts, and spent his formative years in various parts of the United States, including Manhattan, Los Angeles, and upstate New York. Zadoff has also lived in Tokyo, which has added to his rich and diverse life experiences.

Before turning to writing, Zadoff was a stage director, having graduated from the American Repertory Theater's Institute for Advanced Theater Training in Harvard University. He also attended a workshop in Hollywood, organized by the Warner Bros. Additionally, Zadoff holds a degree from Cornell University. Currently, he resides in Los Angeles, where he spends most of his time writing and teaching creative writing.

Zadoff is the author of nine novels and a memoir, including the popular "The Unknown Assassin" series, which has been translated into over a dozen languages and is being developed by Sony Pictures. He has won numerous awards for his work, including the Sid Fleischman Humor Award in 2010 for his novel "Good, Girl and Other Things." This novel was also included in the list of popular paperback young adult novels of the year 2012 by the YALSA and has been finalized to be made into a feature film.
