Alyssa Day is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who has written more than a million books, including those in the Vampire Motorcycle Club, Warriors of Poseidon, and Cardinal Witches paranormal romance series, as well as the Tiger’s Eye Mysteries paranormal mystery series. With a focus on romance, her novels often feature elements of mystery, magic, and humor. Throughout her seventeen-year writing career, Alyssa has won numerous awards for her fiction, including Romance Writers of America’s prestigious RITA award and the RT Book Reviews Reviewer’s Choice Award for Best Paranormal Romance Novel of 2012.
Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, Alyssa Day, who also writes as Alesia Holliday, was able to travel the world during her childhood due to her father's work with the air force. This early exposure to different cultures and places sparked her interest in writing. After graduating from Capital Law School and Ohio State University, Alyssa worked as a practicing lawyer in various firms before marrying a man in the navy and settling in Florida near the sea. She is now a successful writer, having published her first work in 2007, and has been nominated as a best New York Times and USA Today bestselling author. In addition to her romance novels, Alyssa also writes comedy fiction. She is a board member of the Romance Writers of America and has been nominated for multiple RITA awards, further solidifying her status as a prominent figure in the literary world.
