Amanda Feyerbend is a renowned author, best known for her work in the mystery genre. She has written several series, including the Liz Lockhart Mysteries and the Pruitt County Mysteries. Feyerbend's love for mysteries began at a young age, with one of her favorite book series being The Boxcar Children. As she grew older, her fascination with mysteries extended to other genres, including Sci-fi, Fantasy, and Horror. She also developed a love for police procedural movies and television shows.
Feyerbend's educational background is in Biology, but she also pursued a minor in film studies. This interest in film was sparked by a high school literature class where she and her classmates made a short film in the style of Memento. She later took a film writing class, where she finished plotting out a screenplay that she had started after a car accident left her bedridden for a few months. The screenplay, titled Endless Evil, gathered dust for several years until a coworker and best friend suggested she turn it into a novel. This suggestion led to the publication of Endless Evil in 2014, followed by White River later that same year. Feyerbend has since released two other books in The Pruitt County Mysteries and her first standalone novel, The Ideal Woman, in August 2017.
Feyerbend was born and raised in Georgia and is currently in the process of renovating her childhood home with plans to live there. She has always been an animal lover and has had a menagerie of pets over the years. Currently, she shares her home with two rambunctious tomcats named Kimbrel and Lupin. Kimbrel was named after the former Atlanta Braves closing pitcher, while Lupin was named by his foster mom and stuck. Feyerbend's love for animals is evident in her writing, with many of her characters having pets that play a significant role in the storyline.
