Amanda Kyle Williams

Amanda Kyle Williams is an American author, best known for her suspense and thriller novels. She has written two successful series, the Madison McGuire series and the Keye Street series. Before becoming a published novelist, Williams worked as a freelance writer for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. In order to ensure the accuracy of her Keye Street series, she took courses in criminal profiling and practical homicide investigation, and consults with professionals in law enforcement, bond enforcement, criminal profiling, and forensics fields.

Williams has had a diverse work history, including jobs as a sales representative, property manager, courier, commercial embroiderer, house painter, vice president of manufacturing at a textile mill in North Georgia, and owned Latch Key Pets, a business that provided pet sitting and dog walking services. She also worked as a court appointed process server and at a private investigative firm in Atlanta on their surveillance operations.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Williams is a strong advocate for animal rights and is a founding director of the Lifeline Animal Project in Atlanta, Georgia. She gained international recognition for her Keye Street series, which has been translated into nine languages. The Stranger You Seek, the first book in the Keye Street series, was shortlisted for the Private Eye Writers of America's Shamus Award in 2013. Unfortunately, Williams passed away in Decatur, Georgia, in August 2018 after battling endometrial cancer. She will always be remembered for her captivating crime novels and her unwavering support for animal rights.
