Amy Tintera is a successful author of young adult fantasy novels, best known for her New York Times bestselling debut "Reboot." Originally from Texas, Tintera developed a love for storytelling at a young age, influenced by her mother's passion for books and her own fascination with shows like "The Walking Dead" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
Growing up in Austin, Tintera was an avid reader and writer, crafting her first novels in middle school. She pursued her love for storytelling in college, earning degrees in journalism and film from Emerson College. After moving to Los Angeles and working in Hollywood, Tintera realized her true passion lay in writing fiction novels, not screenplays. Drawing inspiration from authors like Gayle Forman, Marie Lu, and Veronica Rossi, Tintera made the switch to novel-writing and never looked back.
Tintera's novels have been translated into 16 languages and sold in over 20 territories, cementing her status as a prominent voice in young adult fiction. Despite frequently setting her novels in her home state of Texas, Tintera currently resides in Los Angeles, where she enjoys going to the movies, reading young adult fiction, and taking care of her dog. Her next book, "THE Q," was published in Fall 2022 by Penguin Random House.
