Andy Marino was born and raised in upstate New York, where he spent his childhood immersed in creative activities such as drawing detailed maps of imaginary video games, orchestrating Lego pirate battles, and cheating death in Choose Your Own Adventure books. His love for fantasy was sparked by J.R.R. Tolkien's works and the movie "Bloodsport," which motivated him to start writing his first novel, "The Runes of Illiarm," at the age of eleven. Unfortunately, the novel was never completed.
As a teenager, Marino's interests expanded to designing sets for school plays and accumulating unfinished art projects. After graduating from New York University with a bachelor's degree in English, he dedicated himself to writing fiction. His passion for technology and social networks inspired him to write "Unison Spark," a novel about two teens with a secret past fighting the manipulative, all-consuming social network of the future.
Andy Marino has authored seven novels for young readers, including "The Plot to Kill Hitler" trilogy. His latest work, "The Seven Visitation of Sydney Burgess," is his first novel for adults. Marino was born in upstate New York and spent half his life in New York City before moving to the Hudson Valley. His writing career has been influenced by his diverse interests and experiences, ranging from childhood creativity to technology and history.
