Andy Straka is an accomplished novelist, best known for his Frank Pavlicek series of novels which have become bestsellers. His writing skills have been recognized through various awards, including the Shamus Award for the Frank Pavlicek series.
The roots of Straka's mystery writing career can be traced back to his childhood. At the age of four, he appeared at his neighbor's back door carrying a butcher's knife. Fortunately, his mother was called instead of social services, preventing a potential misunderstanding. This early fascination with intrigue and mystery would eventually translate into a successful career as a novelist.
Straka's bibliography is diverse and extensive. It includes the recently released "Split City," the first in a new amateur sleuth mystery series. He has also written the #1 bestselling private eye novel "A Witness Above," and six books in the Shamus Award-winning Frank Pavlicek series. In addition to these, Straka has penned a techno-thriller trilogy titled "Dragonflies," as well as the critically-acclaimed suspense thrillers "Record of Wrongs" and "The Blue Hallelujah." His works have earned him recognition as a featured rising star in crime fiction by Publishers Weekly. Straka has also been a finalist for the Agatha Award and the Anthony Award.
