Anika Scott

Anika Scott was born on an air force base in Illinois and spent her early childhood in Omaha before her family settled outside of Detroit, Michigan. She developed a strong interest in international politics and journalism, which led her to pursue a B.A. in international relations at Michigan State University. After graduating, she attended Columbia University in New York, where she earned her M.S. in journalism.

After completing her education, Anika worked as a print journalist in Philadelphia and Chicago. She later moved to Germany, where she has been living with her husband and two daughters. Anika has a passion for history and wishes she could travel back in time to witness different eras firsthand. She also has an interest in espionage, although she admits she would not have made a good spy.

Anika's debut historical novel, "Finding Clara" (UK, Hutchinson PRH) / "The German Heiress" (USA, William Morrow/HC), was released in spring 2020. She has a talent for weaving historical events and personal stories together to create engaging and thought-provoking narratives. In addition to her writing, Anika enjoys sampling German beer and chocolate, and staying active on social media, where she shares vacation photos and updates on her work.
