Ann Mah

Ann Mah is an accomplished journalist, food writer, and bestselling author, who is well-known for her novel "The Lost Vintage." She was born in the United States and has established herself as a prominent American travel and food writer. Mah made her literary debut with the publication of "Kitchen Chinese" in 2010 and has since contributed to numerous prestigious publications, such as the travel section of The New York Times, Vogue, Washington Post, Bon Appetit, Conde Nast Traveller, and Washingtonian magazine.

In 2008, Mah relocated to Paris, where she served as the Program Manager at the American Library of Paris. During her tenure, she played a significant role in organizing the popular "Evenings with an Author" series. Following her growing success in writing, Mah decided to leave her full-time job to focus on her writing career. Since then, she has authored several books, including "Jacqueline in Paris" and "Mastering the Art of French Eating," which was an Amazon best book of 2013 and a winner of the Elle readers prize.

Mah is a regular contributor to The New York Times Travel section and has written for various other publications, such as Condé Nast Traveler, The Best American Travel Writing 2017, Washingtonian magazine, Vogue.com, BonAppetit.com, Food52.com, and TheKitchn.com. She has also received a James Beard Foundation culinary scholarship and studied in Bologna, Italy. Moreover, Mah holds the Level 2 Award in Wine and Spirits with distinction from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET). Her book, "Jacqueline in Paris," was released in September 2022.
