Anna Harrington is an American author, well-known for her historical romance novels set in the Regency period. Her love for this era and its romanticism began while she was living in England, where she found herself fascinated by the rules of etiquette and propriety, always looking for ways in which the heroine could seize her dreams.
Harrington's first novel, "Dukes are Forever," was the debut title of the Secret Life of Scoundrels series, which was highly popular among romance readers. Her passion for writing can be traced back to her third-grade teacher's assignment to write a short story about an everyday object. She chose to write about President Jimmy Carter's hammer in the first person point of view, and her teacher was so impressed that she asked Harrington to read it to the class and pinned it to the board for the upcoming teacher-parent conference. This experience ignited Harrington's love for writing, and she has been writing ever since.
Apart from her writing, Harrington is an avid traveler who has studied Spanish in Ecuador, Mexican History in Guadalajara, and theater in London. She has also volunteered with children's organizations in Peru, Ecuador, Thailand, and Mexico. Harrington is a licensed pilot and dreams of flying a hot air balloon over Africa. She loves being outdoors and enjoys hiking, whitewater rafting, and gardening. Harrington is a Doctor Who fanatic and enjoys all things chocolate, coffee, and ice cream. Despite her love for cooking, she admits to being a terrible cook who hopes to one day use her oven for something other than shoe storage.
