Anne Perry

Anne Perry is a highly respected English author, well-known for her work in the historical detective fiction and mystery genres. She was born as Juliet Marion Hulme on October 28, 1938, in England and later lived in Scotland for a significant portion of her life.

Perry's writing career took off with the publication of her first novel, "The Cater Street Hangman," in 1979, which marked the beginning of her journey as a renowned author. Her work is diverse, spanning various categories of genre fiction, including historical mysteries. Recurring characters often feature in her novels, with Thomas Pitt and amnesiac private investigator William Monk being the most prominent.
