Attica Locke

Attica Locke is a highly acclaimed American author, renowned for her thriller novels. She was born and raised in Texas and graduated from Northwestern University. Locke's literary career took off with her first novel, Black Water Rising, which was nominated for several prestigious awards including an Edgar Award, a NAACP Image Award, and a Los Angeles Times Book Prize. The book was also shortlisted for the UK's Orange Prize.

Locke's success continued with her second novel, The Cutting Season, which became a national bestseller and won the Ernest Gaines Award for Literary Excellence.
