B.J. Daniels was born in Houston, Texas, but spent most of her formative years in Montana. Her decision to become a writer at the age of eight took dedication and resilience, as she lacked exposure to the authorial world during her childhood. After completing her education, Daniels pursued various jobs before leaving them at the age of thirty to begin her writing career. She started as a part-time reporter for a local newspaper, gradually honing her writing skills and learning to meet deadlines. These experiences helped build her confidence, enabling her to pursue her dream of becoming an author.
Daniels' love for Montana is reflected in her work, as many of her books are set in the state. Growing up in a storytelling family, she had always aspired to write her own stories. After working as an award-winning newspaper journalist, she wrote and sold her first short story, "Odd Man Out," and has since won numerous awards, including a career achievement award for romantic suspense. Daniels is currently living in a unique part of Montana with her husband and two Springer Spaniels. In her leisure time, she enjoys various hobbies such as boating, quilting, and making rope/fabric baskets. Her passion for reading remains strong, as she loves to immerse herself in a good book.
