B. Kent Anderson

B. Kent Anderson is an accomplished author, journalist, and broadcaster. His writing career is marked by a strong focus on thriller, suspense, and mystery genres. Anderson's interest in fiction writing began in his early school years when he would create fake newspapers after completing his assignments. This interest grew over the years, and he began writing seriously in 1988 while working in radio. Despite writing five novels over the course of fourteen years, Anderson faced rejection from numerous publishers. However, his persistence paid off when he found an agent in 2002 and sold his first novel within three weeks. It is important to note that Anderson should not be confused with action-thriller novelist Kent Anderson.

Anderson's writing career took off in 2003 with the publication of the debut novel in the Department Thirty series under the pen name David Kent. He went on to write several other novel series under his original name. Before establishing himself as a published author, Anderson earned a degree from the Central Oklahoma University, worked in radio since the age of 15, and spent time in the marketing department of a symphony orchestra. Currently, he is a features writer for Oklahoma-based Slice Magazine and a resident of Oklahoma City, where he continues to seek inspiration for his historical novels and is working on his next project. Anderson's accolades include awards for broadcasting, journalism, and the Oklahoma Book Award for Fiction in 2006 for his novel, The Blackjack Conspiracy (written under the pseudonym David Kent).
