Barbara Taylor Bradford is an acclaimed English author, best known for her romance novels. With a literary career spanning over four decades, she has sold more than 88 million copies of her books worldwide, translated into 40 languages. Born in Leeds, England, Bradford's love for reading started at a young age. By the age of 12, she had already read all of Dickens and the Brontë sisters. Her passion for literature led her to become an editor and columnist on Fleet Street by the time she was twenty. Her first novel, 'A Woman of Substance', was published in 1979 and became an instant bestseller, setting the stage for her successful literary career.
