Barry Eisler is an accomplished American author, best known for his spy thriller novels. He has had a diverse career, including working for the CIA's Directorate of Operations, where he gained valuable experience and knowledge that he later utilized in his fiction writing. Eisler has created two recurring characters in his series of books: assassin John Rain and Black Ops member Ben Treven.
In addition to his spy thriller novels, Eisler is also known for his strong opinions and activism.
