Barry Donadio is an accomplished American author, born and raised in New York. He has led an honorable career in various public services, including the volunteer ambulance service, volunteer fire department, the military, law enforcement, and the United States Secret Service. Donadio was assigned to the White House, where he protected Presidents Bush and Obama. He also served in multiple Middle Eastern war zones during his career.
In 2013, Donadio founded Public Security LLC, a prestigious private investigation and security firm that serves high-risk clients. He gained popularity for his role in the aftermath of the TWA Flight 800 crash in 1996. In 2013, he published his eye-witness account of the incident, "TWA Flight 800 First Responder Witness Account." This book details his experiences during the rescue operation of TWA Flight 800 on July 17th, 1996.
Apart from his public service career, Donadio has received multiple military medals, including the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Air Force Commendation Medal. In 2019, he published his second book, "That Day When Hell Froze Over," a historical fiction novel. Donadio has also been actively involved in politics, having served as the Sergeant at Arms of the Maryland Republican Party from 2017 to 2023. He was reappointed to the position in December 2022 by the Honorable Nicolee Beus Harris.
In addition to his published works and public service, Donadio is a family historian and has published several books on New York family histories, including the "McMahon, Mathews and Biggs Family Histories of Brooklyn New York," "Saltaformaggio Family History of New York," "Garavuso Laravuso Family History of New York," "Perrin Family History Of New York," and "Donadio Family History of New York." In May 2023, he was awarded the Long & Faithful Medal for his service to the military forces of the state of New York.
