Ben Bova

Ben Bova is an acclaimed American author, well-known for his works in the science fiction and non-fiction genres. He has written over 120 books, many of which explore the idea of humanity's expansion across the solar system. Bova's writing is characterized by his extensive knowledge and understanding of science and technology, which is unsurprising given his background in the field.

Bova was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1932. He was an avid fencer and environmentalist, and while pursuing his interests in lasers and fluid dynamics, he worked as a technical writer for Project Vanguard and Avco Everett in the 1960s. His experiences in this field informed much of his writing and led to his appointment as editor of Analog Science Fiction in 1971, following the death of John W. Campbell. Bova later went on to edit Omni magazine from 1978 to 1982.

He has won the Hugo Award six times, and in 2005, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Arthur C. Clarke Foundation. His 2006 novel, TITAN, received the John W.
