Beverly Allen is the pen name of American author Barbara Early. She is a successful writer of cozy mysteries and is known for her Bridal Bouquet Shop Mysteries series. Beverly was born in North Tonawanda, New York, and grew up in the suburbs of Buffalo. Her love for reading and writing started at a young age and continued to develop throughout her academic and professional career. She holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, but her passion for writing led her to teach secondary English and science for several years before homeschooling her daughter.
Beverly's writing career took off under the pseudonym Beverly Allen, which was chosen because her real name, Barbara Early, is often misheard as Beverly. Her first book in the Bridal Bouquet Shop Mystery series, Bloom and Doom, was well-received, followed by For Whom the Bluebell Tolls and Floral Depravity. The series is known for its hooking mystery plots and healthy dose of comedy and sometimes romance. Beverly currently resides in Western New York state with her ever-patient husband and four naughty but adorable cats. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, crafts, home-improvement projects, and spending time with her family.
