Born on August 9, 1938, Bob Burton led a remarkable life as a successful bounty hunter. He created the National Association of Bail Enforcement Agents (NABEA), which established industry standards, professional training, and certifications for bail enforcement agents. NABEA also significantly improved the public and media perception of bail enforcement agents worldwide. After leaving the field of bounty hunting, Burton shifted his focus to international child abduction cases before retiring in 2012.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bob Burton is also a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. He is known for being a Barnabas kind of friend to pastors and churches, encouraging God's people to express their God-given spiritual DNA as seen in the book of Acts. His writing style is characterized as biblical, relational, practical, and missional. Burton's deep love for Jesus Christ is at the heart of his Christian testimony, and he seeks to be used by God as a catalyst to help churches experience missional revival and spiritual refreshing.
Burton is a life-long learner, having received his master's degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a doctorate from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He currently serves as a Sending Church Coach and Pipeline Specialist with the North American Mission Board. Burton is married to his beloved Dana, and they reside in St. Charles, Missouri. They have three married sons, three lovely daughter-in-laws, and two fantastic grandchildren.
