Brad Taylor is a successful author of thriller novels, best known for his Pike Logan series. Prior to his career as a writer, Taylor had a distinguished military career, serving over twenty years in the U.S. Army. He retired as a Special Forces Lieutenant Colonel, having held a variety of infantry and special operations positions.
Taylor's military experience included eight years in the prestigious Delta Force, where he commanded multiple troops and a squadron. He has conducted operations in support of U.S. national interests in several countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, and other classified locations. His final military post was as Assistant Professor of Military Science at The Citadel. Taylor holds a master's of science in defense analysis, with a concentration in irregular warfare, from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
Born in Okinawa, Japan, Taylor was raised on a forty-acre farm in rural Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Infantry. Taylor's military service provided him with a wealth of firsthand knowledge and experience, which lends authenticity to his military thrillers. Now residing in Charleston, South Carolina, with his wife and two daughters, Taylor continues to draw upon his military background as a security consultant and in his writing. His debut novel, One Rough Man, was published in 2011 and launched the Pike Logan series, which has since grown to include seventeen installments and has sold over 3 million copies. The series has consistently ranked on the New York Times bestseller list.
