Brent Weeks

Born on March 7, 1977, in Montana, Brent Weeks is a renowned American author of fantasy novels. He developed a deep passion for words at a young age, which eventually led him to pursue a career in writing. Weeks studied English at Hillsdale College in Michigan, where he acquired the foundational skills that would later help him excel in his writing career.

Before becoming a full-time author, Weeks explored various career paths. He worked as a bartender, which provided him with a unique perspective on human interactions and experiences. This experience would later reflect in his writing, giving his characters and narratives a distinctive and authentic touch. Additionally, Weeks spent time as a teacher, which further honed his communication and storytelling abilities.

Weeks is perhaps best known for his Night Angel Trilogy and the Lightbringer series, both of which have garnered critical acclaim and commercial success. His work has been nominated for prestigious awards, including the Goodreads Choice Awards and the David Gemmell Legend Award.

In addition to his professional achievements, Weeks has had a rich personal life. During his time in a small-town Montana school, he met the love of his life, Kristi Barnes. Despite initial setbacks, he continued to pursue her, eventually winning her heart and marrying her. Weeks and his wife, along with their two daughters, currently reside in Oregon.
