Brittney Morris

Brittney Morris is a notable American author, best known for her debut novel, SLAY, which was published in 2019. The book quickly gained critical acclaim for its gripping storyline and timely themes, centering around an online game created for black gamers and the challenges that come with it. Morris's work has been celebrated for its unique perspective and firm placement of her on the list of up-and-coming authors to watch in the Young Adult (YA) genre.

Before becoming a full-time author, Morris founded and served as the president of the Boston University Creative Writing Club. She also contributed to The Boston University Chimaerid Literary Magazine during her time at the university. Morris has a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, which she initially pursued with the intention of becoming a financial analyst.
