Bryony Pearce is a distinguished author, originally from the United Kingdom, who has a passion for writing young adult, thriller, and science fiction novels. Pearce, who was born as Bryony McCarthy, began her writing career in 2011, after working in the business-to-business market research sector and then as a freelancer. She studied English Literature at Corpus Christi College Cambridge, where she graduated in 1998.
Pearce is best known for her books in the Phoenix series, and she has also written several standalone novels that have gained popularity among her readers. She was a winner of the 2008 Undiscovered Voices competition with her middle-grade novel Windrunner's Daughter. Her first young adult novel, Angel's Fury, was published in 2011 by Egmont. In addition to her novels, Pearce has written dark thrillers for both young people and adults, which are published by Avon books. She also writes science fiction short stories for anthologies published by Newcon Press.
