D.B. Borton

D.B. Borton is a highly accomplished American author, renowned for her mystery and fiction novels. She is most famously known for her series, Cat Caliban Mystery, which first debuted in 1993 with the publication of "One for the Money." In addition to this popular series, Borton has also published over a dozen mystery novels in another series, the Gilda Liberty series.

Borton is currently a resident of a small Midwestern town where she teaches film, writing, and literature at Ohio Wesleyan University. Her academic background is evident in her writing, as she has also published works on women's literature, film, and the supernatural. Borton is not only an esteemed author but also a Professor Emeritus of English at Ohio Wesleyan University, having transitioned to full-time writing.

Borton's love for mysteries and adventure began at a young age when she became an avid Nancy Drew fan. At the age of fourteen, she acquired her own blue roadster and began traveling, living in various parts of the country including the Southwest, Midwest, and West Coast. These experiences have greatly influenced Borton's writing, as she is known for her mysteries set in realistic places with authentic voices.
