Dakota Cassidy

Dakota Cassidy is a bestselling author from the United States, known for her work in romantic comedy, contemporary romance, erotic romance, and paranormal romance novels. She is best known for her Accidentals series and has received a starred review from Publishers Weekly, as well as won an RT Reviewers' Choice Award. Cassidy is known for incorporating humor into her writing and her novels often feature dominant alpha male characters and fictional paranormal elements. She currently resides in Oregon with her husband and dogs.

Cassidy's work often features elements of paranormal and contemporary romance, with a touch of humor. One of her notable works, "The Accidental Werewolf," is the first book in the Accidental series and tells the story of Marty Andrews, a hardworking cosmetic sales representative who gets bitten by a dog and begins to undergo a series of physiological changes. She soon finds out that the dog was actually Keegan Flaherty, the CEO of Pack Cosmetics and the dominant alpha male of his werewolf pack. The novel is a mix of love, lust, family ties, and inherent danger, with a great sense of humor and occasional graphic sex scenes.

Another one of Cassidy's notable works is "F.M.P. Society" which was originally published in 2004. The novel has a similar story-line to Cinderella's fairy tale, with the main characters being Cara Anthony, a plain ordinary woman, and the extremely wealthy and flamboyant, Alex Mackenzie. The novel is intertwined with occasional steamy but moderate sex scenes and Dakota Cassidy has done a tremendous job of breathing life into the witty, larger-than-life characters in the book.

In addition to her successful career as an author, Cassidy has also been invited by Bravo TV to be the Bravoholic for a week, where she snarked the hell out of all the Bravo shows.
