Daniel M. Ford is an American author who is well-known for his creative works, which include the Paladin Trilogy and the Jack Dixon series of mystery novels. Ford was born and raised near Baltimore, Maryland, and his fascination with fantasy fiction began at a young age. After watching "The Hobbit" when he was four, he became interested in any stories that featured elements of fantasy, such as swords, superheroes, elves, knights, dwarves, giants, warriors, dragons, and wizards. This early interest in fantasy fiction led him to explore works of Irish mythology and literature, including "The Fenian Cycle of Irish Mythology," Gregory, Joyce, Longley, and Heaney.
Ford's love for literature and writing led him to pursue higher education, earning a B.A. in English from Villanova University, an M.A. in Irish Literature from Boston College, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing, with a concentration in Poetry, from George Mason University. His poetry has been published in several literary journals, including Soundings Review, Phoebe, Floorboard Review, The Cossack, and Vending Machine Press. Ford currently teaches English at a college prep high school in North East, Maryland, where he continues to inspire and educate young minds. He lives in Newark, Delaware, and can be found on Twitter under the handle @soundingline.
