Danni Roan, born and raised in rural western Pennsylvania, has always had a deep appreciation for country life. This love for the countryside is reflected in her writing, as she specializes in historical fiction that transports readers to a different time and place. Roan's first published works were a collection of folk essays about her childhood in the lush, green mountains of Pennsylvania, which she released under her real name, Paula Liddle-Beem.
In addition to her background in essay writing, Roan is also an experienced teacher, having taught English and English as a Second Language for the past twelve years. She received her Masters of Education in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and this experience has only served to deepen her love of writing. Teaching both in the USA and abroad has exposed Roan to a wide range of people from all walks of life, and she strives to capture their unique character in her work.
Roan is also a Christian author, and her faith plays a significant role in her writing. Her characters are real and genuine, and they come alive on the page. She has written two western romance series, The Cattleman’s Daughters and Tales from Biders Clump, as well as several stand-alone novellas in the Strong Hearts: Open Spirits group. Roan has also participated in several multi-author projects, including Whispers in Wyoming, a Christian, Contemporary Western Romance series and the much anticipated Alphabet Mail-Order Brides series.
In addition to her writing, Roan is also an avid traveler. She and her husband have been living in a 36-foot camper for several years, touring the United States and adding new depth to the settings and drama of her books. Roan is very proud of their son, who is currently studying at the University of Florida. Readers can follow Roan's adventures on her blog and see them reflected in her work. She is an active member of the Pioneer Hearts Authors and Readers group on Facebook and enjoys working with and interacting with her many talented friends. Roan feels a deep connection to the land of her youth in western Pennsylvania, where she spent many hours riding horseback through the verdant hills.
