Darlene Franklin

Award-winning author and speaker Darlene Franklin currently resides in Oklahoma, a place she fondly refers to as cowboy country. She takes great pleasure in writing about the American West, drawing inspiration from her surroundings and experiences. Franklin is not only a writer but also a devoted mother and grandmother, as Oklahoma is home to her son, his wife, and their four beautiful children.

In addition to her passion for writing, Darlene Franklin enjoys a variety of hobbies and interests. She is an avid music enthusiast, finding joy in needlework, and is an avid reader. Franklin also has a soft spot for reality TV and is a proud companion to Talia, her Lynx point Siamese cat. With a successful writing career that has spanned over many years, Franklin has authored seventeen contracted books and novellas, as well as numerous short pieces. Her work has been recognized in several prestigious contests, including the American Christian Fiction Writers' (ACFW) Book of the Year contest, where her novella, Dressed in Scarlet, and her cozy mystery, A String of Murders, were recognized as finalists.

Franklin's writing career took off after she moved into assisted living several years ago. Since then, she has surpassed fifty unique titles published and has authored over 130 books, including her single-author series, Darlene Franklin Primers: the ABCs of Romance. She is also a syndicated columnist, magazine writer, and poet. As a Christian, Franklin incorporates her faith into her work, creating sweet romances with deep characters and rich details, whether historical or contemporary. Her writing is known for its unique storylines, and she continues to expand her horizons by offering poetry services through her venture, Poetry Just for You.
