David B. Coe is a highly accomplished author in the realms of science fiction, fantasy, and historical fiction. With a strong academic background, Coe earned his undergraduate degree from Brown University and went on to obtain a master’s degree and a doctorate in history from Stanford University. This educational foundation has greatly influenced his writing, providing historical depth and richness to his fantasy worlds.
Coe is a prolific writer, having published more than two dozen novels and as many short stories. He is known for his mastery of various genres, including epic and time travel fantasy, historical and urban fantasy, mystery, and thrillers. Among his most popular works are the Crawford Award-winning “LonTobyn Chronicles,” the critically acclaimed “Winds of the Forelands” series, and the “Thieftaker Chronicles,” which he writes under the pseudonym D.B. Jackson. The “Thieftaker Chronicles” is a unique blend of urban fantasy, mystery, and historical fiction set in pre-Revolutionary Boston. Additionally, he writes the epic/time travel fantasy series “The Islevale Cycle” as D.B. Jackson.
