Born on November 17, 1969, Bell is also an award-winning author, having received critical acclaim for his writing skills. His work has been translated into numerous foreign languages, and in 2013, he was awarded the Prix Polar International de Cognac for best crime novel by an international author. In addition to his work as an author, Bell is also a college professor, currently teaching at Western Kentucky University where he directs the MFA program in creative writing.
