David Duchovny is an accomplished American author, known for his works in the fantasy and literary fiction genres. He was born in New York City and completed his undergraduate studies at Princeton University, where he earned an A.B. in English Literature. Duchovny later attended Yale University, where he pursued a Ph.D. in English literature before leaving the program to pursue his interest in playwriting.
In addition to his work as an author, Duchovny is also an accomplished actor, producer, and musician. He gained global fame for his roles in the Fox Television series The X-Files and Showtime's Californication, and has won several awards for his acting, including two Golden Globe awards. Duchovny has also appeared in several films, including the two X-Files movies, and has executive produced and starred in the historically based cop drama Aquarius.
