David Lee Corley is a father, writer, and nomad who grew up in Northern California on a horse ranch, where he spent his time training and raising Appaloosas. Corley has a love for adventure and has turned his life into a journey, having lived out of a backpack and traveled to 56 countries over the past four years.
Corley's travels have had a significant impact on his writing, as he often seeks out interesting stories and characters to include in his novels. He has written a total of 26 novels and screenplays, with four of his screenplays being made into motion pictures. While he has written in a variety of genres, he now primarily focuses on historical war fiction that is rich in action and suspense. Corley is known for his meticulous attention to historical and technical accuracy, and he cites Cormac McCarthy, Ernest Hemingway, and Elmore Leonard as some of his favorite authors.
In addition to his love for writing, Corley is also passionate about the natural world and encourages others to take care of the planet. He has had many unique experiences during his travels, including scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef, visiting UNESCO World Heritage sites, and even getting mugged in Guadalajara. Corley now resides in Thailand, where he enjoys the warm climate and kind people. He has three adult offspring and enjoys sharing his thoughts and experiences with his readers through his newsletter, where he offers new release updates, special offers, and a free eBook.
