David Simpson is a man of many talents, with a diverse range of professional passions that include futurism, feature film direction, bestselling and award-winning authorship, film composition, acting, TEDX speaking, and advising for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). Despite facing significant challenges in his youth, including being a high-school dropout who had to sleep in a shopping cart at the age of sixteen, Simpson was able to turn his life around through the opportunities provided by the University of Toronto's Academic Bridging program and the invention of the e-book.
Simpson's TEDX presentation, "Our Post-Human Future," has received over 1.7 Million views on YouTube, and his debut feature film, a psychological thriller titled "Dangerous to Know," had its World Premiere in London, England in October 2020. The film was selected for the prestigious Frightfest Film Festival, where it was compared favorably by critics to the work of film luminaries such as David Fincher and Stanley Kubrick. In addition to his work in film, Simpson is also a bestselling and award-winning author, with the sixth book in his Post-Human series, "Superhuman," released in late 2020. The book is equal in length to Stephen King's epic "The Stand" and has taken its place as one of the longest science fiction novels ever written. Simpson is known for his incredible work ethic, and is said to sleep only rarely.
