David Wishart

David Wishart is a Scottish author, best known for his series of historical mystery novels. He was born in Arbroath, Scotland and studied Classics - Latin and Greek - at Edinburgh University. After graduation, Wishart taught for four years in a secondary school before retraining as a teacher of English as a Foreign Language. He then went on to teach in various countries such as Kuwait, Greece, and Saudi Arabia for eleven years.

Upon returning to Scotland in 1990, Wishart settled in Carnoustie and began teaching EFL and study skills at Dundee University.
