Debbi Mack is a New York Times bestselling author, known for her Sam McRae mystery series. She has always been an avid reader and has worked in various fields before becoming a novelist, including being a waitress, photography model, substitute school bus driver, typist, attorney, freelance writer, and reference librarian. Mack has also reviewed books for Mystery Scene Magazine and currently hosts a podcast called The Crime Cafe, where she interviews authors of crime fiction, true crime, suspense, and thrillers.
Mack holds degrees in law, library science, and journalism. She started her career as a freelancer and later practiced law for nine years, working in various settings including law firms and government jobs. After that, she began writing novels and has since published four mystery novels and a young adult novel. Her books have been bestsellers and have been nominated for several awards.
Apart from the Sam McRae series, Mack has also written a young adult novel called "Invisible Me" and a thriller called "The Planck Factor".
