Deborah Adams

Deborah Adams is a bestselling mystery author, originally from Tennessee, who is best known for her "Jesus Creek Mystery" series. She published most of her novels in the 1990s, with a long break in between, and has continued to write on her blog about local green living and homeopathic awareness, a passion of hers. Adams' first novel, "All The Great Pretenders," was published in 1992 and went on to become a critically acclaimed novel, the first in the "Jesus Creek Mysteries." She took a long break from the series and published "All the Dirty Cowards" in 2000, followed by "All the Ice Cold Blood" in 2018.

Adams has always had a love for writing, having written her first book "Adventures in Space" as a fourth-grader. "All The Great Pretenders" was an Agatha Award-winning novel, and since then, Adams has earned a reputation as a talented author who writes compelling narratives with each novel she publishes. She has lectured at many events in the US, such as the Appalachian Writers Conference, the Southern Festival of Books, and the Midwest Mystery Conference. Despite her success, Adams remains humble and lives in a small town in Tennessee, where she continues to write on her blog.

In addition to her "Jesus Creek Mystery" series, Deborah Adams is also an award-winning co-author of the breakout series Waypoint. She holds a degree in Communication from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and currently resides in Huntsville, Alabama, with her husband John and two boys, Weston and Warner. Adams is a seventh-generation Tennessean who brings to her work an appreciation for the lore and traditions of the South. Her novels, which are known for their satirical tone, have been recognized with several awards, including the Flair and Macavity Awards. She has been a guest lecturer at numerous events, including the Southern Festival of Books, Appalachian Studies Conference, and Emory University. Her work has also been featured in various anthologies and literary magazines.
